Labor Day Weekend Hours

We'll have special hours over the holiday weekend:

• Thursday 9/2 - 10am to 7pm

• Friday 9/3 - 10am to 6pm

• Saturday 9/4 - 10am to 2pm

• Closed Sunday 9/5 and Monday 9/6

Regular store hours resume on Tuesday, September 7.

Environmentalism

Environmentalism is a broad philosophy and social movement centered on a concern for the conservation and improvement of the environment. Everybody is talking about global warming, the greenhouse effect, carbon emissions, holes in the ozone, air and water pollution, the melting of the polar icecaps, and the prospects of rising sea levels. There is a very real possibility that we are doing irreversible harm to the planet on which we live.

Midwest Cyclery is "going green"! This has been a process that began several years ago with our recycling of aluminum, plastic, paper and cardboard. This year we have added bicycle inner-tubes and steel. And we also are placing coupons on our website with "code words" that allow you to get the offer without actually printing out the coupon.

Bike Rentals at Midwest Cyclery

We offer ADULT Bicycles, Trail-A-Bike, and Child Trailers for rent. The rates per item are: $17.00 two hours, $10 for each additional hour, $29.00 a day, and $85.00 a week. One hour minimum rental. Due to our proximity to the Illinois Prairie Path, all bikes in our rental fleet are recreational bikes - hybrids and comfort bikes.

We require a valid Drivers License and Credit Card at time of rental. Helmets are available for rental as well.
